For those who still have an issue try these:
1. Log out from xiaomi account ＞ reboot ＞ check for update;
If it doesn‘t work
2. Create a new mi ID ＞ login ＞ restart ＞ check for OTA;
If still not try cleaning data and force stop the updater app then check again
