Part 1: How did I discover Mijia?

First thing i remember knowing (far, far away of becoming a Xiaomi fan) is that Mijia is Xiaomi’s official smart home brand, offering a wide range of minimalist, connected devices—from security cameras to home appliances—all managed through the Mi Home app.

I first came across Mijia while exploring the broader Xiaomi ecosystem years ago and increase the knowledge through the Xiaomi Community.

What caught my attention wasn’t just the sleek, modern design, but how affordably and seamlessly these devices brought practical automation into everyday life.

Part 2: What Mijia products do I own?

Over time, my home has built up a small but efficient lineup of Xiaomi and Mijia hardware witch includes two Mijia smart surveillance cameras positioned in key areas, smart sensors, and lighting—all connected seamlessly through the Mi Home app to streamline daily routines and monitor household activity. Used not in my home but in a more important place.

Part 3: My Mijia story

The most meaningful experience I’ve had with a Mijia product centers on the smart surveillance camera in my 95-year-old father's home.

He lives alone in his house and is almost completely blind (who sees him does'nt notice mutch), which makes traditional phones or complicated devices nearly impossible for him to use.

Using the Mijia camera, the two-way voice function has become our lifeline. Instead of him struggling to find a phone screen, I can speak directly to him through the camera speaker to check in, answer his questions, or confirm he’s doing well.

The motion alerts give our family incredible peace of mind while fully respecting his independence in his own home. It transformed a simple pair pieces of tech into a daily tool of care and connection.

At first, it feels unusual, unconfortable ... but then we all become thankful for technology that brings relief to an entire family, especially to its oldest member. My dad.

The moment we celebrated his 95 years old, surrounded by his sun and daughter.

Photos & Required Hashtag

First note that this is'nt a thread made to WIN NOTHING more than the pleasure i feel everytime i participate in a Comunity Context and to highlight how deeply usefull can a tech product be, in a real case.

Ofcourse that every moment is proper to celebrate the long age of a senior cityzen, my dad, in this case.

As you can understand i'm not posting any photos of videos of the devices placed in his house, for security reasons - so, the only photo of the camera, was tooked from the web, looking randomly by this specific device free pictures.
