A Guide to the Rules of the MIUI General Sub-forum [Last update: 17 Feb, 2024]

Hey Xiaomi Fans!

The MIUI General section has been created as a meeting place for Xiaomi Community members to discuss, chat, review, ask and answer. In order to keep this forum organised and helpful for all users, we should have rules which must be followed. These will make it easier for your opinions to be heard and your useful posts to be seen.

Rules for MIUI General Sub-forum

Language

While we welcome users of any nation, all posts, whether they are original threads or comments, will be in English only. Posts in ANY other language will be deleted. You are perfectly allowed to use automated translation tools (Google Translate: translate.google.com), and we will do our best to help you.

Threads

You must create detailed and interesting threads. Pictures, although preferred, are not essential. Threads must not be a single sentence or a question. These can be on any topic within the context of the sub-forums. Try to catch users' imaginations with an interesting picture, an informative thread, and perhaps a question at the end, to try and encourage other users to comment. Try to start a conversation.

Thread deletion rules

• Non-English threads will be deleted.

• Threads containing text or image links related to politics, pornography, violence or any content affecting community safety will be deleted.

• Threads with no content or meaningless topics will be deleted.

• Duplicate threads will be deleted (only the first one will be retained). Make sure to use community search function before posting a new thread. The search function is here: new.c.mi.com/global/search.

• Threads containing commercial advertisements, promotional info and meaningless links will be deleted.

• Threads using anonymity for malicious SPAM or personal attacks will be deleted.

• Any thread containing bad language will be deleted.

Please note

• Use the search function to see if your question has already been posted by someone else.

• Please post in the relevant sub-forums. Threads posted in the wrong area will be moved to the correct sub-forum by the moderators.

* If you leave a comment on a thread that has nothing to do with it, it will be removed.

SPAM

SPAM will not be tolerated. There is no spamming allowed in these sub-forums, or anywhere in the community. People found spamming will have their thread/comment deleted. If the user persists, they will be banned. The community doesn't take spamming lightly as it doesn't benefit anyone in any way. Again, SPAM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Please note any link to a commercial service will be seen as SPAM.

No Profanity

Bad language will not be tolerated. Any thread or comment containing bad language will be deleted. Any persistent offenders will be banned.

Discrimination

Discrimination will not, under any circumstances, be tolerated. Any user causing offence to others on grounds of race, colour, gender, age, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, or for any other reason will be banned without notice.
